Mrs. Sullivan, Grade 3

Hello! My name is Mrs. Sullivan.  This is my third year of teaching at Jenny Lind.  Previously I have also taught 3rd grade at Cityview in Minneapolis.

I grew up in Byron, MN and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a K-6 license and an Elementary Mathematics minor. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Differentiated Instruction.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years.  We have a 3 year old dog named Sapphire who is 6 pounds and loves to play.  We are also have a 1 year old daughter, Nora, who is full of energy and loves to laugh.  In my spare time I like to read, knit, and watch movies.

My classroom is a safe, fun, and cozy place to be.  Bright colors can be found all around the room.  Teaching has always been my passion, so I pour my whole heart into

every child that walks in the door.  Students in my class will quickly learn that I believe in every single one of them!  I am there for them through the struggles and the accomplishments.  In third grade, we learn through special learning stations, independent work, whole group discussions, and by having fun!  We participate in brain breaks such as dancing and games.

Homework will be expected Monday-Thursday and will be following our new literacy curriculum. I encourage students to be reading 20 minutes EVERY night.  If students need a book to read at home they may check them out from my classroom or our school library.
