Greetings Jenny Lind Families!!!

I am so excited to be back for the 2017-2018 school year. Jenny Lind has my committment, heart and soul. It is such an honor to be entrusted to serve all of your smart, beautiful children while they are with us during their day. I truly believe in their futures and potential to make this world one full of brillance, love, and peace.

I have lived in Minnesota for 4 years and can proudly say that my husband and I have made Minneapolis our forever home. I grew up in Iowa, spent a few years in Chicago after college, went back to Iowa for a time, and have now made Minnepolis home. My husband is from Chicago, and with my in-laws still in Chicago, we get to go back to see them and a city that we love, along with our visits down to Iowa to see my three brothers and their families.

I received my Bachelors of Social Work from Luther College and my Masters of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago.  I have been doing social work with families and children for 9 years. I have been lucky enough to serve families both as a therapist

Cooper and Teddy
in and out of schools, as well as a school social worker. This is my 4th year with Minneapolis Public Schools. Before coming to Jenny Lind I worked at the Wilder building with students in a mental health day treatment program.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband, our cat Teddy, and our dog Cooper. We enjoy eating at lots of ethnic restaurants, attending concerts often past my bedtime! and watching way too many episodes in a row of a show on Netflix.

I am a part of a strong social work team here at Jenny Lind with Christine Shamp and Nick Cross. Together with Christine and Nick, we hope to make school a safe, and happy place for your student and your family, while helping your family in any way we can.

I look forward to meeting you and your student!

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
