Melissa Grossman, M.S. CCC-SLP has been a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) since 1993. Melissa received her masters degree from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. Melissa has worked in long -term care facilities and outpatient clinics for children. Melissa joined the Minneapolis Public Schools (Jenny Lind School) in 1998 and has been the primary speech language pathologist to students in the autism program. Melissa enjoys being part of the teaching community at Jenny Lind School. She enjoys the challenge of maximizing students’ communication abilities in the school setting while collaborating with school staff and families. My duty days at Jenny Lind are Monday mornings, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays all day.
Katie Brinson, M.A. CFY-SLP, received her master’s degree in speech language pathology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and her undergraduate degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Katie enjoys working in the school setting; tying speech and language goals to academics and providing literacy based interventions. Katie enjoys building positive relationships with her students, families and school staff. Outside of school, Katie likes spending time with friends, family and her puppy, Harmon! Eric Hanson has been a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) for Minneapolis Public Schools since 1999. He received his Master's Degree in Speech and Hearing Science/Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota. Eric is the primary Speech/Language Pathologist for the CLASS program (Coordinated Learning for Academic and Social Success), and also provides communication services to the resource students in the general education setting. Eric enjoys working with elementary school aged students, and strives to provide them with the knowledge and resources they need to be the best communicators possible. Eric enjoys travel and experiencing other cultures, and was awarded a sabbatical during the 2007-2008 school year, allowing him the opportunitiy to travel to Thailand to visit schools and research the development of language skills with students learning English as a second language.
