Welcome to Jenny Lind's Health Office!
In the health office, our purpose is to promote health and safety for all students, to care for students experiencing illness or injury, and to help create an environment that supports student achievement, health, and well-being. We are available any time to assist you and your student with any health related questions or concerns. Please see below for some commonly asked about topics.
Immunizations Needed for School
In order to attend class in Minneapolis Public Schools, students must show that they have had the required immunizations or that they are exempt. To enroll in Early Childhood Programs, students must have received the following immunizations:
- Hepatitis A and B
- DTaP/DT
- Polio
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
- Hib
- Pneumococcal
- Varicella (chickenpox)

Taking Medicine in School
It is recommended that medication be given at home whenever possible. If medication must be administered during the school day or self-carried by the student, families must follow the Minneapolis Public Schools school medication policy.
