Hello Jenny Lind Families!

I am grateful to be joining the Jenny Lind school community for the 2017-2018 school year.  Here at Jenny Lind, I believe we strive to create an environment where students feel safe, valued, connected, and secure, empowering them to take risks and become confident independent members of our community. Our commitment to students' helathy social emotional well-being goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to their academic success. I believe that through a dynamic process informed by family members, school staff, data, and students, we can work to provide each child with what she or he needs in order to optimize their overall social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success.

I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from the College of Saint Benedict in the areas of Psychology and Biology .  I received my Masters of Arts and Psychology Specialist degrees for School Psychology from Minnesota State Univerity Moorhead.  This will be my seventh year as a school psychologist, and my fifth year with Minneapolis Public Schools.

Family is incredibly important to me and I love spending time with them. I also enjoy traveling, camping, spending time with friends, and reading.

I will be at Jenny Lind on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  I am also supporting two other buildings in the district, Kenwood Elementary School (Tuesdays) and Armatage Montessori School (Thursdays). You may reach me at: JessicaA.Anderson@mpls.k12.mn.us.

In kindness,
